Using symbols and emojis in your blog posts and widgets is super-simple. And no plugins are needed.
Every character (symbol or emoji) has a code that begins with an ampersand and ends with a semi-colon, like this: &****; And all you have to do is find the code for the character you want and type it in to your blog post. Really, it’s that easy.
If you’re using WordPress or Blogger, before you type the character, you’ll need to switch from visual mode to “Text” (in WordPress) or “HTML” (in Blogger). If you want to add one to a text widget, just paste it in. 😃
My favorite 💕 site to get all the codes is Unicode Table. Browse through the symbols, and when you find the one you want to use, copy and paste the code next to it. (Just remember to use the one that begins with &.)
But I’ve also created a little 2 page cheat-sheet just for you, with some of the cutest, and most commonly used symbols that you can just copy and paste right into your blog posts, pages, or widgets. 💐
